Hi! My name is Les McKeown - I'm the author and presenter of 'How to Succeed At Work'

As an international speaker and author, in the last fifteen years I have trained literally thousands of people in the USA, Canada, UK, Europe and Asia on How to Succeed At Work.

I started my working life as a UK-qualified Chartered Accountant (CPA), but I realized early on that my passion was in the life and soul of what makes businesses really tick - not just in the dry figures.

The Search is On: What Makes for Success At Work™?

So, from about 1979 I began to work with entrepreneurs and managers - helping them build their organizations to grow and succeed, all the time learning more about what truly contributes to the success (or failure) of businesses.

Since then I have personally been involved in the launch of over 40 businesses in the USA, Canada, UK, Europe and Asia - ranging from high-tech through low-tech to no-tech, and everything in between.

I've had the pleasure (and challenges) of owning my own professional practice, a graphic design agency, a tool and die manufacturer, a Pizza Hut master license...you name it, I've probably owned and operated something like it.

Because of my experience in starting and successfully running businesses, in the early 'nineties I was asked by the UK government to co-design and deliver 'The Entrepreneurship Program', a business incubator program that eventually ran in 13 locations, launching literally hundreds of businesses, in turn employing many thousands of people.

From the little two-person operation my partner and I started, that incubator program eventually grew to a global training company employing 80 people worldwide, helping others grow and develop their careers and businesses.

The Answer is Clear: It's the People, Stupid...!

As a result of this incredible experience - and the privilege of working with hundreds of entrepreneurs and managers - I began to realize the one inescapable fact that is at the very core of Success-At-Work™:

The major difference between a successful business and an unsuccessful one is the quality, passion and enthusiasm of its employees.

Nothing - not the product or service, not the funding the business has, not its location or anything else has the impact on a businesses success that its employees do.

Once I realized this, I began to concentrate exclusively on helping employees develop their skills. I continued to teach people How to Succeed At Work, and to write such resources as:
